William 'Al' Springfield, age 86, an amazing father left earth this week to be with his loving Savior and beloved wife, after a courageous fight with cancer.?? Dad brought life to all who met him.?? He jumped at the chance to get to know you and somehow knowing him would make your life better.?? Dad was a humble man.?? He never spoke about the many accomplishments in his life including the service he provided for this country in WWII, on the USS Iowa in the Pacific Theatre as a communication technician.?? Dad's life was dedicated to his beautiful wife, who reached heaven last year having ended her battle with Parkinson's and his two daughters.?? He loved his daughters, uniquely and unconditionally, always their loudest cheerleader and wisest mentor.?? Daddy's purpose on earth, which he always wondered about, was seen in the way he lived.?? He lived humbly, loved fully and completely and was always compassionate.?? He unabashedly loved and respected His Lord and Savior, Jesus, and he did this in a manner that only he could.??
