William 'Scott' Polsdorf, 67, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Janice 'Jan' Young Polsdorf, died Friday evening, August 28, 2015, at Candler Hospital.



Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late George Polsdorf and the late Marion Myers Polsdorf. Before moving to Savannah, Mr. Polsdorf was a communicant of St John's Catholic Church in Concord, New Hampshire. He was a 1966 graduate of Chaminade Catholic School in Hollywood, Florida. Mr. Polsdorf was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Sylvania. He retired from Pace Electrical Supply in Savannah as a purchasing agent after fourteen years of service.



Surviving are his wife, Janice P. 'Jan' Polsdorf of Savannah; his daughter, Amy Wyman and her husband, Duane, of Franklin, New Hampshire; his granddaughter, Kathryn Janice Weed of Franklin, New Hampshire; two brothers, Matthew Polsdorf of San Francisco, California and Thomas Polsdorf of San Diego, California; and his beloved English Sheep Dog, Maggie Mae.



The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Thursday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue with the Rosary being held at 7 o'clock in the chapel.



The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church conducted by The Reverend Gabriel Cummings. Interment will be private.
