William 'Will' Evan Norman II died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday evening, March 1, 2016, after a courageous battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). He was 11 years old.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, Will was the son of Victoria Chandler Norman and Todd Evan Norman, Sr. Although Will had a short life, he was a tough and determined kid. This determination was apparent from a very early age when he enjoyed a normal childhood, but grew more evident during his fight against ALD. Before his illness, Will loved competing in sports, being with friends, going to church, and enjoying time with his family. Will was loved by many and will be greatly missed.



Surviving are his mother, Victoria Chandler Norman; his father, Todd Evan Norman, Sr.; three sisters, Elizabeth Rachel Norman, Ashley Katherine Norman and Lindsey Grace Norman; one brother, Todd Evan Norman, Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Bartlett Chandler of Savannah; his paternal grandparents, Glen and Joyce Norman of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and his maternal great-grandmother, Catherine Bartlett of Savannah, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.



He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Isaac William Chandler; his maternal great-grandparents, Julian E. Bartlett and I. V. and Ethel Chandler, and his paternal great-grandparents, William Evan and Lucille Norman and Oscar and Evelyn Gerding.



The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Skidaway Island Baptist Church ' 2 West Ridge Road.



A funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Skidaway Island Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Dr. James N. Staubes. Interment will be private.
