William 'Kent' King, 66, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, and husband of Margaret 'Margie' Metcalfe King, passed away Friday evening, January 1, 2021, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Donald Lee King and the late Daneen Deal King.
In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly (King) Lang.
Together for 44 years, he is survived by, Margaret 'Margie' Sue Metcalfe King; one daughter, Morgan Hartman (Tim); one son, Matthew 'Matt' King (Marie Ruschel); four grandchildren, Avery Hartman, Nevaeh Ruschel, Trinity King and Gage King; one sister, Kelly Ray King; aunts; uncles, and cousins.
Kent graduated from Seneca Valley High School, where he met the love of his life, Margie King. They were married in the spring of 1976 in Harmony, Pennsylvania. Everyone who knew Kent, knew him to be a kind and funny man, who loved his family and friends with his whole heart. A person that would go without, to make sure the ones he loved had everything and more.
A memorial service in Pennsylvania will be held at a later date to be announced.
In remembrance of Kent's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
