Dr. William D. Kehler, of Savannah, Georgia died March 6, 2015.
Dr. Kehler was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 25, 1930, son of the late Harold Franklin Kehler and the late Sarah Evelyn Wert Kehler. He earned his B. S. degree from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania and earned his M. D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Over the course of his career, Dr. Kehler practiced medicine in Pitman, New Jersey, Hilton Head Island, and at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. He served as the medical director for the Skidaway Island First Responders for 25 years.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol, their son, David, and a twin brother, Harold Franklin (Bud).
He is survived by his wife, Emily; children: son, Dr. Jeffrey Kehler (Christie); daughter, Karen Lineberger (Stephen), and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning, March 16, 2015, at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church conducted by The Reverend James W. Giddens. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service.
