William Lee Bell, 66, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Margaret Reed Bell, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Jacksonville, Illinois, he was a son of the late William Ray Bell and the late Verna Turner Bell. Mr. Bell was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army having served 6 years, 2 of which were in the Vietnam War. Mr. Bell retired after 33 years as a line inspector and sorter for the Mueller Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Turner.
Surviving are his wife of almost 46 years, Margaret Reed Bell of Savannah; two daughters, Kimberly M. Bell and Michelle E. Ramirez, both of Savannah; two sons, Lawrence L. Bell and his wife, Yoko, of Springfield, Illinois, and Brian Christopher Bell and his wife, Carissa, of Buffalo, New York; five grandchildren, including Kyle Philip Bell, whom they raised as a son in their home, Ashlee Camille Bell, Joseph Etsuya Bell, Matthew Seiya Bell and Orlando Alirio Ramirez; two sisters, Nita Bell Rice and Linda K. Bell; three brothers, Guy Bell, Norman Bell and William Ray Bell, Jr., and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, July 10, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses ' 2605 Carmel Avenue. Interment will be private.
