William Randolph 'Randy' Bashlor, Jr., 64, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 13, 2013, under Hospice care at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina and after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Savannah, he was a son of the late William Randolph Bashlor, Sr. and the late Alpha Lamb Banks. Randy was a United States Army veteran having served from 1968 to 1970. He fought for his country in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969.
Surviving are three sisters, Diane Bragg Lenamon and her husband, Walt, of Fort Worth, Texas, Jean Bashlor Heard and her husband, J.D., of Livingston, Texas, and Sandi Smouse Lamont and her husband, George, of Garden City, Georgia, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Thursday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by The Reverend Dr. Drew Corbett.
