Wendy Faye Hendricks Young, 47, of Jesup and formerly of Savannah, wife of Jason Young, died suddenly on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
She graduated from H. V. Jenkins High School Top Ten, and was a cheerleader at Jenkins and at Armstrong State College, from which she graduated. Wendy worked at the old Desoto at Tybee, a governess for Dr. Metts' children, the office of Carey Hilliard's Restaurant, as chemist for the Riceboro, Georgia plant, Georgia Pacific Research Lab, Rayonier in Jesup, and Research Lab in Baxley.
She leaves to cherish her memories and extended love, her husband, Jason E. Young of Jesup; her parents, Darrell and Becky Hendricks; her sister, Tina Lynn Hendricks; a sister-cousin, Darlene Cieslak; her precious niece, Daryle-Lynn Roberts; eight loving aunts and two uncles; numerous cousins, and many lifetime friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 o'clock Friday afternoon at Ferguson Avenue Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon at Ferguson Avenue Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Robert H. Dimmitt and The Reverend Roy L. Graves.
The family will also receive friends from 10 until 12 o'clock Saturday morning at Unity Church of God ' 1580 Sunset Boulevard in Jesup. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday at Unity Church of God conducted by Pastor George E. Moxley. Interment will be private.
