Wanda Haymans Johnson Yates, 80, of Savannah, widow of Tommy Johnson and Jack Dawson Yates, died Wednesday afternoon, February 24, 2016, at St. Joseph's Hospital.



Born in Ellabell, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late John Noah Haymans and the late Mary Alice Wise Haymans. Mrs. Yates was of the Methodist faith. She retired after more than 30 years as a real estate agent. Mrs. Yates loved her family and enjoyed dancing, fishing, and the beach.



In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a life-long friend, Michael Poller, and her brother, Gary Haymans.



Surviving are one daughter, Jill J. Dixon and her husband, Teddy, of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Thomas Keith Johnson and his wife, Linda Marie, of Seneca, South Carolina and David Kelly Johnson and his wife, Molly, of Atlanta, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Hunter and her husband, Bill, of Pembroke, Georgia and Judy Johnson and her husband, Gary, of Tennessee, and a number of nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
