Walter Clifford Johnson, 86, of Savannah, husband of Julie Burts Johnson, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 19, 1928, he was the son of the late Luke Kimball Johnson and the late Mildred Sealy Johnson. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Auburn University and worked for many years for SunTrust Bank, first in Atlanta, and later in Augusta, where he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Burts Johnson of Savannah; two daughters, Katherine Holbrook of Atlanta and Connie Johnson of Augusta; a brother, Luke K. Johnson of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Step-sons, Robert Reynolds and John Reynolds of Richmond Hill, Michael Reynolds of Augusta; Step-daughter, Lynne Reynolds Tantanella of Savannah and several grandchildren.
A private service will be held in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure.
