Wade Brinson, 86, of Thunderbolt, Georgia and husband of Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Adams Brinson, died Tuesday morning, November 11, 2014, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Millen, Georgia, he was a son of the late Homer Brinson and the late Trudie Johnson Brinson. Mr. Brinson was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Brinson retired as Chief Engineer of Savannah Foods and Industries.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Elizabeth Wiggins Brinson; four sisters, Eliza, Katie, Annie and Estelle Brinson, and four brothers, Will Brinson, Homer Brinson, Lester Brinson and Edward Brinson.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Adams Brinson of Savannah; one daughter, Susan Renee Bedell and her husband, Frank, of Savannah; one son, LTC Wade Hamilton Brinson, U.S. Army (Ret.) and his wife, Terry, of Enterprise, Alabama; four grandchildren, Katie Medley and her husband, Jason, Kristina Ruth 'Kristie' Dinh and her husband, Bob, Carman Horton and her husband, David, and Christopher Bedell; five great-grandchildren, Luke Medley, Logan Medley, Bentley Horton, Braxton Horton, and Bryson Horton; two sisters, Minnie Johnson and Susie Joyner; one brother, Robert 'Bob' Brinson, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Friday morning at First Freewill Baptist Church ' 5210 Skidaway Road.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at First Freewill Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Michael L. Locklear. Interment, with military honors, will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
