Vicki Lanelle Stone Cone

Vicki Lanelle Stone Cone, 72, of Rincon, Georgia, and wife of the Reverend Douglas Bissell Cone, died Wednesday morning, February 1, 2023, at her home.

Born in Hazlehurst Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Mitchell Reginald Stone and the late Lanelle Stone. Vicki was a faithful Christian wife and mother. She loved her family and was dedicated to her church where she served alongside her husband, working with the Vacation Bible School, the Bereavement Committee, and various mission trips. Vicki retired from AT&T as a telephone operator. She loved to crochet and read.

She was her husband’s perfect wife. Vicki will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Stone.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, the Reverend Douglas B. Cone; children, the Reverend Douglas M. Cone (Jennifer), Jeannie Dukarski (Eric); grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner and Jessica Cone, Eric (Taylor) Dukarski, Jr., Victoria (Nick) Hargrave, Rachel Dukarski; great-grandchildren, Rylynn and John Thomas; sisters, Ann (Earl) Leverett, Donna (Ted) Manders, Kay Ripley and her best friend, Patsy Parker, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 o’clock, Thursday evening, February 2, 2023, at Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock, Friday morning, February 3, 2023, at the First Baptist Church Rincon - 201 East 6th Street, Rincon, conducted by the Reverend Douglas M. Cone and the Reverend Dr. William “Bill” Gammon.

Interment will take place at 3 o’clock, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Maple Cane Baptist Church Cemetery – 21324 Augusta Highway, Cottageville, South Carolina.
