Valerie Rae Rothschuh, née Perry, 62, of Hollywood, California, passed from this life on May 24, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia, surrounded by family after a fight with cancer. She was born May 14, 1961, to Yvonne (Kitty) Watkins and Wayne Raymond Perry.
Valerie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard Rothschuh; her daughter Jessica Rothkuo and her wife, Hannah Rothkuo; her daughter Lisa Rothschuh and her partner Eian McCoy; her daughter Amy Rothschuh; her son Daniel Rothschuh and her son Joseph Rothschuh; her five grandchildren, Lucian, Jackson, Charlie, Jameson and Selene; her brothers Richard and Robert Perry; her sister Sheila Watkins-Copeland and her dear friend Christopher Naylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her dear stepfather, Jerome Fine, and her sister Carol Kirchmeyer.
Valerie was born in Hollywood, California, and grew up in Laguna Beach. She loved spending time at the Seahorse. She met her husband in San Juan Capistrano, and they moved to Northeastern Ohio and raised five children together. Valerie was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved the beach, the sunshine, rescuing animals and growing houseplants. She spent her last months in Savannah.
Her family wishes they had more time with her, but they are holding their memories close, and she will live on in their lives. They will miss her humor, her dedication to her family and her feistiness.
