Troy Edward Noonan, Sr., 77, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Karen Sue Wainwright Noonan, died Monday morning, July 26, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Edward Troy Noonan and the late Caroline Simpson Noonan. Troy was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist. He was a United States Navy veteran. Troy retired as a boiler engineer at Hunter Army Airfield. He loved spending time with his family. Troy also enjoyed boat racing, fishing, camping and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Noonan.
Survivors include his wife of almost 42 years, Karen Sue Wainwright Noonan; one daughter, Melissa Donaldson and her husband, Charles; three sons, Michael Noonan and his fianc??e, Mary, Kenny Noonan, and Troy Noonan, Jr. and his fianc??e, Fab; five grandchildren, Amber Jones and her husband, Andrew, Madison Donaldson, Sarah Noonan, Troy Sommers, and Angel Proman; one sister, Georgia Mae Noonan; one brother, John Noonan, and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 o'clock Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 12 noon Thursday, July 29, 2021, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be private.
