Trent Andrew Drake, 50, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away Friday morning, October 7, 2022, at his home after a short illness.
Born in the Telfair Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Nancy L. Pope and Daniel G. Drake. He worked in landscaping and tree care, taking special enjoyment in tree climbing. Trent had a strong work ethic and truly enjoyed what he did. He enjoyed swimming in the river and kayaking. Trent loved animals, especially dogs and particularly his dog, Bo. He played football and baseball in high school and was a lifelong fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons. Trent was a very caring and patriotic person, loved people, and would help anyone. He enjoyed listening to Lionel Ritchie and country music. Trent was known for his proficiency at grilling and oyster roasts and cooked a mean steak. He will be deeply missed.
Trent was predeceased by his grandparents, Claud and Mildred Lott and Milton and Evelyn Drake.
Survivors include his parents, Nancy L. Pope and Daniel G. Drake; brother, Todd A. Drake, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 13, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, October 13, 2022, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
