Tina Marie Mehlhorn Sikes, 55, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Ken Newton Sikes, died Sunday evening, July 19, 2015, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert Carl Mehlhorn and the late Terrie Pridgen Mehlhorn. Tina attended St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and attended Armstrong State University. She worked with her brother-in-law at MITR Survey. Tina was a member of the Savannah Hemerocallis Society and the American Hemerocallis Society. She loved the outdoors and particularly enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Ken Newton Sikes of Savannah; two sons, Drew Curtis Sikes and his wife, Kristina, of Ellabell and Aaron Newton Sikes of Savannah; two sisters, Trudy M. Knight and Trisha M. Ferreira and her husband, Mike, all of Savannah; two brothers, Terry C. Mehlhorn of Dublin and Tim E. Mehlhorn and his wife, Laurie, of Richmond Hill; one granddaughter, Natalie M. Sikes, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11 Saturday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday at Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Peter J. Hartmann. Interment will be private.
