Timothy Gray Thompson,

Timothy 'Timmy' Gray Thompson Sr. of Savannah, Georgia departed this life Tuesday September 21, 2021.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of Mildred 'Kitty' Gray Thompson and the late Marion 'Tommy' 'Chick' Edward Thompson.



Timmy is preceded in death by his father and brother, Marion 'Tommy' Edward Thompson Jr.



Timmy is survived by his wife Patricia Graham Thompson; son Timothy Gray Thompson Jr and his wife Allison Harris Thompson; son Stephen Graham Thompson and fianc?? Catherine Marie Maclean; brother Gary Stephen Thompson; sister Kathryn Thompson DeLettre and her husband Dewey; two grandchildren Timothy Gray Thompson III & Arthur Reid Thompson; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving in-laws, and friends.



Timmy will be greatly missed by the countless friends, coworkers, and customers he touched over his 38-year career with Gulfstream Aerospace. After retiring in 2019 Timmy enjoyed much of his free time on the water. He shared his love for the outdoors with everyone around him, whether it was a day crabbing with his wife Patti, trout fishing with his brothers and sons, or fishing in the blue water offshore with his dear friends and neighbors. After an adventurous day in the boat, you could always find him on the dock or the back porch preparing dinner with the days catch and reliving memories. When not on the water, Timmy made an extraordinary effort connecting with friends and family. He'll always be remembered for his routine phone calls to check in, dropping by for lunch, and always being an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. Every time you'd see that Red Ford truck pull into your drive, you couldn't help but crack a smile because you knew Timmy was soon hopping out of the driver's seat to come spend time with you.



A memorial service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, September 25, 2021, at the Savannah Yacht Club ' 730 Bradley Point Road, Savannah. In honor of Timmy his family requests casual attire.
