Thomas Rothwell Taylor

d. May 19, 2017

Thomas Rothwell Taylor II, 72, of Savannah Georgia and husband of Victoria 'Vikki' Marie Owcarek Taylor, died Thursday afternoon May 18 2017, at Memorial University Medical Center.

Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Thomas Osgood Taylor and the late Patricia Bentley Lum Taylor. Tom was a United States Air Force veteran, and a graduate of Earlham College in Richmond, IN.

Surviving are his wife, Victoria 'Vikki' Marie Owczarek Taylor of Savannah, GA; two daughters, Deanna T. Hudson and her husband Matthew, of Annandale, VA, and Patricia Paredes and her husband Cesar of Frederick, MD; Victoria's daughter and son, Melissa J. Perna of Columbia, NJ and

Vincent M Perna of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren, Kai Rothwell Hudson, Demetrianna 'Demi' Hudson, Leah Paredes, Isabella Paredes, Matthew Dilauri and Michael Dilauri; two sisters, Carrie Heisler and her husband, Dave, of Springfield, PA and Mary Eliza Lish and her

husband, Jim, of New York City, NY; two brothers, Paul Taylor of North Wales, PA and Sam Taylor and his wife, Christine of Cary NC, and eight nieces and nephews.

Tom was a well-recognized curmudgeon and the anointed 'Mayor of Tamarind Lane'. He was always taking control of events - helping new neighbors get settled, creating interesting (if not bizarre) games to engage both kids and fellow golfers, and organizing parties. He loved his

home in Savannah but hated travel, bridges, and hugs. He was passionate about those under his care - his wife, his daughters, his grandkids, and the cats. Tom was a mediator who like to instigate trouble, just for fun.
