Thomas Carter, born June 1952, in Honolulu Hawaii, passed away peacefully at 12:50am April 7, 2025.

The family will have a Memorial Mass at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at The Episcopal Church of St. Paul the Apostle’s, in Savannah, with Father Charles Todd officiating.

Tom was a graduate of Coffee High School in Florence, Alabama and the University of Georgia where he acquired a Masters in Agricultural Management. He worked as an Inspector for the Department of Agriculture in various areas: Miami Fl, Savannah GA and Sanford FL. He was owner/operator of Capstone Turf Management.

Tom was a family man, loved his son and wife, his parents, his two brothers, his nephew and niece. He was a true gentleman, sweet, stubborn, responsible and hardworking. Tom was a kind man who never spoke negatively about anyone. He was an avid reader of novels, he was very supportive, a golfer and a true Alabama Fan-Roll Tide!

He is survived by his loving wife Ana Carter; and his son, Christopher Carter, his brother Dr. Jeff Carter and his wife Sherry of Tryon, NC; his brother Michael Carter and his wife Shannon, of Florence, AL. He is also survived by his Uncle Vernon Carter and his wife Liz, of Ohio, nephew John Carter and niece Maggie Carter of Florence, AL.
