Theresa \"Terrie\" Ventre Rondeau, 78, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of MSgt Donald 'Don' Isidore Rondeau, United States Marine Corps (Ret.), died Friday afternoon, April 21, 2017, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Gregory Ventre and the late Rosaria V. Ventre. Theresa was a communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She was a retired bookkeeper in commercial building supplies. Theresa was proud of her Italian heritage and her passion was preparing the Christmas meal for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, dancing, sailing on the family boat (annually to St. Augustine and The Chesapeake), and playing bingo. Theresa and Don were members of the Geechee Sailing Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Raymond 'Ray' Myron Rondeau; two sisters, Frances Maresca and Irene Calvaruso, and three brothers, Rosario Ventre, Vincent Ventre and Joe Ventre.
Surviving are her husband, MSgt Donald 'Don' Isidore Rondeau, United States Marine Corps (Ret.); two daughters, Theresa Maria Fabre and husband, Kevin, and Dee Rosaria Phillips; one son, Carl Aloysius Hartloge III and his wife, Sue; one step-daughter, Donna Lombardo; one step-son, Rick Rondeau and his wife, Sandra; eight grandchildren, Brandon Hartloge, Bradley Hartloge, Porter Fabre, Zachary Smith, Danielle Rondeau, Raquel Rondeau, Brittany Lombardo and Michael Lombardo, and one great-grandson, Kobe Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue with the Rosary service being held at 7:30 in the funeral home chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church conducted by Father Gabriel Cummings. Interment will be at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort.
