Theodore 'Ted' Wohlgemuth, 86, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Connie Lee Fisher Wohlgemuth, died Tuesday evening, August 1, 2017, at his home.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late Carl Jarvis Wohlgemuth and the late Margorie Pauline Echelbarger Wohlgemuth. Ted was a member of Compassion Christian Church. He was a United States Navy veteran. Ted first owned a company which erected cell towers and later owned and operated a hydroponic and groundwater heat pump distributorship. At the time of his death he owned a blade sharpening company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin granddaughters, Jaelyn and Jenna.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Connie Lee Fisher Wohlgemuth; five daughters, Donna Curran, Diane Jordan, Laura Sharpe, Lynda Thai and Jessica Easterling; three sons, Eric Wohlgemuth, Tom Sandnes and Matt Wohlgemuth; one sister, Margorie Stokes; two brothers, Franz Wohlgemuth and Kurt Wohlgemuth; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday, August 4, 2017, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2017, at Compassion Christian Church ' East Campus, 9150 Old Montgomery Road, conducted by The Reverend Ken Philbeck. Interment will be private.
