Thelma Lee Clements Padgett, 62, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday morning, December 15, 2017, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late J. C. Clements and the late Elizabeth 'Betty' Blissett Clements. Thelma was a member of Compassion Christian Church. She retired after 35 years with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System as a teacher at Hesse Elementary School. Thelma was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Savannah Southside Optimist Club. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Padgett.
Surviving are her daughter, Brittany L. Padgett of Savannah; two sisters, Ann Clements and Mary Childers and her husband, Paul, all of Savannah; one brother, Brinson Clements and his wife, Doris, of Savannah; five nieces and nephews, Kristin, Craig, Cheri, Michael and Paige; two great-nieces, Ella and Harper.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Adult Ministry Center of Compassion Christian Church ' 55 Al Henderson Boulevard, conducted by Pastor Rob Conatser and The Reverend Meg B. Procopio. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
