Terry Wilson Floyd, Sr., 58, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, and husband of Debbie Doty Floyd, died Monday afternoon, April 11, 2022.
Born in Aiken, South Carolina, he was a son of Carol Lyons and the late Grady Wilson Floyd. Terry worked for many years with Ford Motor Company and at New Era Automotive. He was a trusted business owner for over 20 years and was well known in the community as one of the best auto technicians around. Terry was a proud father and papa. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and gardener.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wilson 'T. J.' Floyd, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Debbie Doty Floyd; two daughters, Zipporah Floyd-Martin and her husband, Jon, and Cheree Langford and her husband, Stephen; one son, Richard Doty and his wife, Rebecca; his mothers, Carol Lyons and Gloria Singletary and her husband, Tim; two sisters, Crystal Floyd and Misty Brower and her husband, Dereck; two brothers, Jamie Lyons and his wife, Danielle, and Ronnie Malphrus and his wife, Tammy; eleven grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o\'clock Friday evening, April 15, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o\'clock Saturday morning, April 16, 2022, at the graveside, Floyd Cemetery near Tillman, South Carolina, conducted by the Reverend Bobby Etheridge.
