Teresa Darlene Bennett Carpenter, 55, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Ken James Carpenter, died Friday afternoon, January 3, 2014, at her home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of Eloise Bennett Fogler and the late Roy D. Bennett. Teresa was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker who loved watching old movies on television.
Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Ken James Carpenter; one daughter, Shannon DeLeon; one son, James May, Jr.; her mother, Eloise Bennett Fogler; one sister, Shirley Ann Bennett Ennis; three brothers, Roy D. Bennett, Jr. and his wife, Faye, Cleve Bennett and his wife, Sharon, and Terry D. Bennett; three grandchildren, Summer, Storm and Shawn, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Drew Corbett. Interment will be private.
