SPRINGFIELD, GEORGIA -Teddy "Big Ted" Allan Vickery, 54, of Springfield, Georgia, husband of Pamela Gause Vickery, died Friday evening, June 17, 2011, at Memorial Health University Medical Center after a short illness.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Crawford McDonald "Mack" Vickery, Jr., and the late Lynette Vickery. Teddy worked for over twenty three years in the paper manufacturing industry. He was on the Longshoreman Extra List number 3.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Gause Vickery of Springfield; two sons, Ted Ashley Vickery and Jessica and Michael Andrew Vickery, both of Springfield, Georgia; one sister, Pamela A. Vickery and her husband, Marvin; one brother, Don Vickery: one aunt, Mary Julia Smith; his mother in-law, Sarah Gause; two sister in-laws, Sherry Oenbrink and Sheila Story; three grandchildren, Kalin Ashley Pittenger, Michael Andrew, Jr., Pacie Michelle and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Monday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Charles G. Cooper. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
