Sylvia Adler Udinksy, 84, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Burton 'Burt' Udinsky, died Thursday afternoon, August 21, 2014, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Sam Adler and the late Faye Goldman Adler. Mrs. Udinsky was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim.?? She was a former president of Henry Street School and was the first female chairwoman of the March of Dimes. Mrs. Udinsky was a former Cub Scout leader. She was active in the JEA Women's Club, Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob Women, Memorial Health Art Club and the Wednesday Lunch Group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Adler Nathan.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Burton 'Burt' Udinsky; three sons, Gary Udinsky (Linda Myers), Joel Udinsky, and David Udinsky (Gay); three grandchildren, Andrew (Chaya), Robert (Cindy), and Samantha, and three great-grandchildren, Holdyn, Hadley, and Ethan.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Motti Locker.
