SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Sylvia Kaplan Richman, 93, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of, Harry L. Richman, died Thursday morning, November 25, 2010 at Hospice Savannah.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Sam Kaplan and the late Sarah Barbaro Kaplan. Mrs. Richman was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim and was retired from the City of Savannah. In addition to her parents Mrs. Richman was preceded in death by three brothers, Alex Kaplan, Harry Kaplan and Hyman Kaplan.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Andelman of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Laurence Richman, of Maitland, Florida; four grandchildren, Sherri Bayer and her husband, Louis, Stacy Aronson, Michael Richman, Robert Andelman and his wife, Katelyn; two great grandchildren, Charlie Aronson and Jacob Andelman, and two brothers, Henry Kaplan of St. Petersburg, Florida and Max Kaplan of Savannah, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Kenneth R. Leitner.
