Suzanne 'Suzi' Bernard, 53, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Edward Bernard, died Thursday morning, April 14, 2016.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1962, Suzi was the daughter of Mike and Deanna Lissner. She received her Master's in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida and was employed by the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital as a social worker. Suzi and Ed retired to Savannah Georgia where she became active with the Jewish Women of the Landings, writing their newsletters. They are members of Agudath Achim Synagogue where she enjoyed educational classes with the Rabbi.
She was preceded in death by grandparents \"Mema\" and \"Papa\" Rudy and Betty Moss.
Suzi is survived by her husband, Ed Bernard; her parents, Michael and Deanna Lissner; sisters, Sheri (Wayne) Williamson and Staci (Jeff) Barnett; sister-in-law, Deann Johnson; nieces, Morgan and Austyn Johnson, Rebecca and Annabelle Barnett, and nephews, Tyler and Drew Williamson.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the graveside, Beth Shalom Cemetery, gate 5, Evergreen Cemetery - 4535 N. Main St. in Jacksonville, Florida, conducted by Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner.
