Suzanne Aiken, 86, longtime Savannah resident passed away Friday morning, May 19, 2023, at Legacy at Savannah Quarters.
Suzanne was born in Buffalo, New York to John and Mary Aiken. She had a rewarding career as a social worker at St.Joseph’s/Candler Hospital. Suzanne was an advocate for those in need, a staunch supporter of the arts and a kind soul to all she met. She was a talented organist, a maker of fine jellies, a loving mother and grandmother, and a champion for civil rights. Suzanne was a music lover and an aficionado of terrible jokes.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca M. Aliffi, Nicholas R. Mueller (Tracy); grandchildren, Meg Aliffi (Tom Matthews), Yano Aliffi; and several nieces and nephews.
A joyous celebration of Suzanne’s life will occur at a later date.
