Susan Gaye West

Susan Gaye Besse West, 69, of Savannah, Georgia, and wife of Terry Lee West, died Monday afternoon, April 10, 2023 at Candler Hospital.

Born in Topeka Kansas, she was a daughter of the late Everett Besse and the late Marcelle Alice Hoffmeister Besse.

Susan was a nurse for over 49 years. Her hobbies included bowling and shopping. The family would like to give a special thank you to Randy West and Ruth Tracy.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Janet Elaine Weaver and Carol L. Beattie.

Survivors include her husband of almost fifty years, Terry Lee West; daughters, Jennifer Michelle Jones (Clay) and Melissa Elaine Caruso (Donnie); sister, Ruth Besse Tracy (Mark); brothers-in-law, Russell W. West (Gloria), Randy A. West (Diana), and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 o'clock, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will follow at 12 o'clock noon, Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service.
