Susan Lynn Eiler Clifton, 54, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Carroll Eugene 'Gene' Clifton, Jr., died Wednesday afternoon, January 22, 2014, at her home and under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was a daughter of Donald Eiler and Velma Elizabeth 'Liz' Poole Eiler. Susan was a member of Wilmington Island United Methodist Church and attended Grace United Methodist Church. She was a paramedic/dispatcher for Southside Fire/EMS/Security. Susan loved crafts and was also an avid reader.
Susan was preceded in death by a sister, Kristen Eiler.
Surviving are her husband, Carroll Eugene 'Gene' Clifton, Jr. of Savannah; one daughter, Amy E. West of Savanah; one son, Brian W. West of Savannah; one step-daughter, Michelle Stephanie Sturgess and her husband, John, of Savannah; one step-son, Gene Clifton III and his wife, Amy, of Savannah; her parents, Donald and Elizabeth 'Liz' Eiler of Savannah, and two sisters, Lisa Anderson and her husband, Vincent, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Laura Burroughs of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Grace United Methodist Church ' 6412 Waters Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o\'clock Friday afternoon at Grace United Methodist Church conducted by The Reverend Steven R. Purnell and Chaplain Dale Simmons.?? Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
