Steven Richard Walker

Steven R. Walker aka 'Pops', 72, of Savannah, Georgia was pronounced as passed on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2019, at Presence Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois after complications arising in-flight while returning home from a trip to California to attend the funeral of his longtime business partner and dear friend Thomas Lang.



Born in Los Angeles, California, Mr. Walker was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed old cars and playing an occasional hand or two of Blackjack when he could.



He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Walker, and his brother, Craig Chorbajian.



Surviving family are his wife of 39 years, Christine Walker; his mother, Patricia Chorbajian; brother, Tim Walker; sister, Becky Thompson; children, Carrie Walker-Finegan, Darrell Westgate, Timothy Walker, Brian Westgate and Daniel Walker, and his grandchildren, Stevi-Nicole Ashton, Joshua Ashton, CJ Ashton, Cami-Lynn Ashton, Alex Bailey, Sara Westgate, Price Westgate, Tim Walker and Paige Walker.



The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 Saturday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue and at their home immediately following. Interment will be private.
