SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Steven "Steve" Clyde Langston, 58, of Savannah, Georgia, husband of Patricia "Pat" Jodoin Langston, died Sunday morning, March 6, 2011, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Frances Elsberry Langston and the late James Arthur Langston. Steve was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Steve graduated from Richard Arnold High School and attended Armstrong Atlantic State University. He was a former assemblyman for Gulfstream and, at the time of his death, was with the City of Savannah. Steve enjoyed high-tech computer games and was an avid reader and history buff. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Regina Chapman Langston.
Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Patricia "Pat" Jodoin Langston of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Katherine F. Langston of Savannah, Georgia; one son, James H. Langston of Savannah, Georgia; his mother, Frances Elsberry Langston of Savannah, Georgia, and three sisters, Nancy Blessum and her husband, Robert, of Greer, South Carolina, Susan Geofforion and her husband, David, of Sandy Springs, Georgia, and Connie Langston of Savannah, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend T. Kenneth Jernigan.  Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
