SSG Anthony 'Tony' Terry Martin, U. S. Army, 61, of Rincon, and husband to Sigrun 'Ziggy' Martin died Wednesday morning, February 5, 2014, at Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Martin was born in Milford, Virginia on August 27, 1952 to the late Lloyd and Arnead Martin.?? He retired from the United States Army at the rank of SSG, having served in Desert Storm.?? Mr. Martin was a master mechanic with the Motor Vehicle and Equipment Department of the City of Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Sigrun 'Ziggy' Martin of Savannah; his daughter, Jessica Martin of Savannah; his son, Anthony Martin, II of Savannah; a brother, Wayne Martin of Milford, Virginia; his sister ' in ' law; Karen King of Spokane, Washington;?? one niece Jacquline King of?? Spokane, Washington; and several cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 o'clock in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service with Pastor Marcus Johnson officiating. Interment will be private.
