SMSgt Chadrick 'Chad' Owen Grizzle, United States Air Force (Ret.), 90, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Gloria Nall Grizzle, died Saturday morning, May 22, 2021, at Hospice Savannah.



Born in McClure, Virginia, he was a son of the late Fonsby Grizzle and the late Bertha Jane Owens Grizzle. Chad was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He graduated from Ervinton High School, and earned his B.S. in History from Mississippi State University and his Master's in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia. Chad retired after 21 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. During his military career he traveled the world, including tours in the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and at the Pentagon. Chad later worked for Vocational Rehabilitation and then as Safety Officer for the Georgia Ports Authority. He loved farming, raising cows, Tarpan horses, and growing peaches. Chad will be remembered for his strong love for the Lord and as a devoted family man.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerriod Everett Grizzle; his first wife, Marjorie Turner Grizzle; two sisters, Shirley Booher and Jean Davis, and one brother, Samuel D. Grizzle.



Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Gloria Nall Grizzle of Savannah, Georgia; four daughters, Carol Rowland of Savannah, Georgia, Linda A. Blackstone and her husband, Lee, of Marietta, Georgia, Minette Rushing and her husband, Jim, of Savannah, Georgia, and Jena Buttimer of Lawrenceville, Georgia; six grandchildren, Shannon, Lindsay, Ivy, Sherry, Lizzie, and Jon; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Billy Donald Grizzle and his wife, Pat, of Bristol, Tennessee, and nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o\'clock Monday, May 24, 2021, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 1 o\'clock Tuesday afternoon, May 25, 2021, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend Suzanne Cole Wages. Interment, with full military honors, will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park - East.
