Shirley Ann Smith, 87, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, died Tuesday morning, January 15, 2019, at her home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lee Smith, Sr. and the late Bernice Boyd Smith. Shirley was a member of First Christian Church in Jacksonville and a former member of First Christian Church in Savannah. She liked to draw which was later difficult for her with Cerebral palsy. Shirley was very proud of having drawn the cover for her high school yearbook. She was a sweetheart and always remembered her family and friends with a gift on special days. Shirley was a very smart person who enjoyed reminiscing with everyone about past times.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Smith, and her brother-in-law, Colonel Ulay Littleton, United States Air Force (Ret.).
Surviving are her sister, Dorothy Littleton of Tucson, Arizona; her brother, Charles L. Smith, Jr. and his wife, Carole, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and her nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the mausoleum, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Drew Corbett.
