MELDRIM, GEORGIA - Shirley Hubbard Rahn, 73, of Meldrim, Georgia, wife of Charles 'Charlie' Bernard Rahn, died Thursday morning, March 29, 2012, at home and under the care of Hospice Savannah.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Francis Eli Hubbard and Hazel Sauls Hubbard. Shirley was a member of South Newington Baptist Church and a former member of Central Baptist Church. She was a retired hairdresser and a former owner and operator of C and S Mobile Estates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four children and her step-son.



Surviving are her husband, Charles 'Charlie' Bernard Rahn of the home; two daughters, Wesa 'Stormy' Grindle and her husband, Terry, of Meldrim, Georgia, and Dawn Poteete and her husband, Tony, of Nashville, Tennessee; three sisters, Carolyn H. Degler of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Evelyn H. Willard and her husband, Kent, of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Jackie Harren of Wasilla, Alaska; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o\'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.



The funeral service will be held at 1 o\'clock Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Steve McCoy and The Reverend Kenneth L. Harrelson. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.



Pallbearers will be: Kenny Gunter, Joseph Perkins, Don Willard, Scott Willard, Wesley Butler, and Ben Anderson.
