Shirley S Morris

Shirley Shackelford Morris, 90, of Savannah, Georgia, and widow of George Kenneth Morris, died Tuesday evening, December 27, 2022, at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Henry Shackelford and the late Elizabeth “Betty” Shackelford. Shirley retired from Memorial Medical University as a switchboard operator. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, George Kenneth “Kenny” Morris, Jr. and her brother, Henry Shackelford, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane M. Sego; grandchildren, Kyle Duane Sego, Russell Allen Sego, Jr., Zachary William Morris and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, January 3, 2023, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
