Shirley Ann Howard Goodman, 82, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Tariel Goodman, Sr., died Thursday morning, June 7, 2018, at Abercorn Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Gadsden, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Fred Howard, Sr. and the late Willie Mae Jackson Howard. Mrs. Goodman was of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Beech High School and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tariel Goodman, Jr.; a son-in-law, Christopher Walker; a sister, Nellie Corine Howard Russell, and three brothers, Bobby Joe Howard, Fred Howard, Jr. and Wilbert Howard.
Survivors include her eight children, Deborah Vincent, Marilyn Goodman, Anthony Goodman, Lisa Goodman, Eugene Goodman, Michael Goodman, Tracy Walker and Latasha Mitchell; one sister, Arlena Bryant, grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, East Savannah Community Cemetery ' 2342 Alaska Street, conducted by The Reverend Daren L. Russell.
