Shirley Ann Carden

Shirley Ann Leverett Carden, 82, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Gene Francis Carden, died Wednesday afternoon, May 9, 2018, at St. Joseph's Hospital.



Born in Lincolnton, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late James Howard Leverett and the late Winnie Bohler Leverett. Shirley was a former longtime member of National Hills Baptist Church in Augusta and attended White Bluff United Methodist Church in Savannah. She owned and operated Personal Touch Shirts by Shirley. Shirley spending time with her family, making crafts, and attending craft shows throughout the southeast.



In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings.



Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Gene Francis Carden; two sons, Robert Carden and his wife, Christi, and Richard Carden; three grandsons, Sam, Wes and Jack, and nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Saturday morning at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend John A. Haney. Interment will be private.
