Sherry Dixon Williams, 72, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Clark Robbins Williams, Jr., died Monday morning, August 23, 2021, peacefully at her home.



Born in Houston, Texas, she was a daughter of the late James Dixon and Glenda Parkinson Partridge. Sherry worked for many years as a nurse, as an executive director of Chattahoochee Flint RDC, worked at the American Cancer Society, Volunteers of America, a volunteer coordinator for a hospice facility in Newnan, Georgia, and was executive director at the Housing Authority of the City of Franklin.?? Sherry worked tirelessly to serve her community and others.?? She was instrumental in coordinating a central food bank for Heard County.?? She was a quintessential southern lady, with her sweet tea, soft southern drawl, calm confidence, loyalty to family and friends, and knowing what to hold dear.?? She lived her life on her terms and was fit to be admired by many as she served selflessly to better other people's lives and her community.?? Sherry also loved taking morning or evening walks along the beach and creating container gardens.?? She was an avid art enthusiast and especially loved to create mosaics, oils, jewelry, and pottery which could be found around her home as well as in the homes of several family members and friends.



Survivors include her daughters, Margaret 'Maggie' Elizabeth Bonner (Roderick) of Franklin, GA,; Claudia Kay Williams of LaGrange, GA.; son, Clark Robbins Williams III (Savannah, GA.); grandchildren, Gage Alexander Williams, Camille Ann Williams; siblings, Victoria 'Vicki' Partridge, Ed Partridge, Jr., Kimberly 'Kim' Gutierrez, mother Glenda Partridge of Arcadia, CA. and companion, David H. Keller.



A Celebration of Life will take place from 11 until 3 o'clock, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the City of Franklin Community Center - 2484 Franklin Parkway, Franklin, Georgia, 30217.
