Sheri Ulman Portman, 63, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of Michael Alan Portman, died suddenly on Tuesday morning, January 1, 2019, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ingrid Lipman Ulman and Ben Ulman. Sheri had a heart of gold and many passions in life. She adored her daughter Dori and derived constant pride in her achievements. Michael, her husband of 42 years, was the love of her life and they delighted in seafood and travel. She enjoyed spending time loving and caring for her dogs, Bob and Leo. Her positivity and radiant light will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was known as the magical Aunt Sheri by her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Alan Portman of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Dr. Dori Elana Portman of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, Michael Ulman and his wife, Sherry, of Savannah, Georgia, and many other beloved relatives.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 Thursday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
