ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA - Sheila Gottlieb Miller, 73, of Alpharetta, Georgia and wife of Wayne Miller, died Wednesday evening, April 25, 2012, at her home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Milton Gottlieb and the late Sophie Sutker Gottlieb. Mrs. Miller was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob. She graduated magna cum laude from Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. Mrs. Miller taught kindergarten and Head Start in Bowie for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, whom she met at the JEA Day Camp in Savannah, Wayne Miller of Alpharetta, Georgia; two sons, Michael Miller of Miami, Florida, and Jeffrey Miller and his wife, Anna Sypula, of Oakton, Virginia; one daughter, Stacey Jennifer Miller of Bowie, Maryland; one granddaughter, Hailey Elaine Miller; and two brothers, David Victor Gottlieb and his wife, Barbara, and Harris Gottlieb and his wife, Cheryl, all of Atlanta, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
