Shawn Cela Tillman, 46, of Savannah, Georgia, died peacefully surrounded by her friends April 4, 2013 at Hospice Savannah after a long illness.
Shawn was a native of Savannah and a graduate of St. Vincent's Academy, Class of 1984. She had a long and successful retail management career which included Belk's, Macy's, and Dillard's. Shawn volunteered at Rape Crisis of Savannah. She was preceded in death by her mother, Molly Edenfield Johnson.
Survivors include her stepfather, Maxwell Johnson; stepsister, Julie Aicardi; two uncles, Henry Neal Edenfield of Dallas, Texas and George E. Edenfield and his wife, Debra, of Richmond Hill, Georgia and lifelong friends, Suzanne Feuger Altare, Catherine Ryan Boyce, Kathleen Russo Coppage, Mary Theresa Feuger, Rhonda D. Jones, and Mary Cecile Price Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, with the Christian Wake Service being held at 4:30 o'clock in the funeral home chapel.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church conducted by The Reverend Patrick S. O'Brien. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
