Sharon Robertson Lerch died on September 26th.?? She was born to the late Newton and Elsie Robertson, December 17, 1940, in Washington, DC.



Sharon graduated from Crewe High School in 1959 and graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Economics from Westhampton College in Richmond, VA in 1963.?? She was the President of her class at Crewe High School and the class Valedictorian.?? She also received the prestigious Herman P. Thomas award in Economics from the University of Richmond Robins School of Business during her senior year at Westhampton. She married David Kingdon Lerch in 1972, and together raised two children, Todd and Courtney in Alexandria, VA, before settling in Savannah, GA in 1987.



Sharon worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and Southwestern Bell in Richmond, VA until her first child was born in 1974.?? During her children's school years, she served as a volunteer and fund raiser for school events, which led to her being hired as the Director of Development and Alumni at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, VA.?? In 1987, Sharon and her family moved to Savannah, GA where she worked as the Director of Development for the Savannah Country Day School.?? She also served as the President of the Savannah Area Republican Women's Club.?? In 1996, Sharon became President of the Juliana Group, Inc. spending the next seventeen years providing Montessori educational materials and furniture to public and private schools throughout the United States.



Sharon is survived by her husband, David; her son: David Todd and his wife Ann Crawford; and her daughter Courtney Reynolds, both of Savannah GA: Three grandchildren: Olivia Harlan, Jackson Todd and Crawford Thompson: Two sisters, Sunny Sonner of Norfolk, VA and Sandra (George) Bason of Burlington, NC as well as nine nieces and nephews.



On Monday, September 30th , the family will be greeting friends and relatives from 10-11 AM at the historic Christ Church Episcopal on Johnson Square in Savannah, GA followed by a memorial service at the church.?? The burial service will be at Bonaventure Cemetery following the memorial service.
