Sarah Catherine 'Cathy' Darsey Eason, 69, died Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022, at her home under the care of her husband of 43 years, John Wesley Eason IV, after a long illness.
She was born on September 18, 1952 to Charles E. Darsey and Janie Adams Darsey. Cathy attended Jenkins High School. She worked in the childcare business for many years. Cathy was of the Methodist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a son, William James Carr, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, John Eason; son, Christopher Carr (Allison); grandson, Patrick Dillon Carr; brother, Eddie Darsey; half-sister, June Sams; brother-in-law, Mike Eason, and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, September 2, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, September 2, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service.
