Sara Levinsohn Heyman, 98, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Alex Heyman, died Tuesday afternoon, August 11, 2015, at Buckingham South.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on September 11, 1916, she was the youngest daughter of Luis and Jeannette Levinsohn. Mrs. Heyman was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob and was retired from the family business, Heyman and Sons.
Surviving are her son, Harold Heyman of Savannah; her daughter, Jane Newman of Dunwoody, Georgia; her grandchildren, Kevin Heyman of Savannah, Denise Martinson of Houston, Texas, Julia Newman of Dunwoody, Georgia, Alex Newman of San Francisco, California, and Alex Heyman of Newton, Massachusetts; and her great-grandchildren, James Martinson, Avi Heyman, Eli Heyman, Caleb Heyman, and Shelly Sara Heyman.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
