Sandra Ann Siskin passed away December 27, 2020, at age 79, in Potomac, Maryland.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Mallen (Melanie) and Rick Mallen (Laurie); her grandchildren, Sophie and Sam Mallen; her brothers, Jim Siskin (Dianne) and Harvey Siskin; and her nephew, Brad Siskin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Keith Siskin.
Sandy was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She relished offbeat humor and was an aficionado of obscure Yiddish sayings. Her lodestar was family and friends: she was a prodigious writer of letters, a consoler-in-chief to those who were sick or suffering, and a maestro of unsung kindnesses. She laughed heartily, loved fiercely, and stubbornly clung to the ways of the past. As we move into the future, her memory will be a blessing.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, December 31, 2020, at Bonaventure Cemetery - 330 Bonaventure Road, Thunderbolt, Georgia 31404.
