SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Sandra "Sandi" Sue Shannon, 65, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday morning, December 5, 2009, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Salina, Kansas, she was a daughter of the late Howard George Shannon and the late Ella Josephine McBride Shannon Blood. Sandi was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church. She volunteered as a rocker in the neo-natal unit at Candler Hospital for many years and also worked with the Historical Society at the Green Meldrim House in Savannah. Sandi worked as a bookkeeper for McLean Pacific in California. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Rolland Blood.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Mall of Scottsdale, Arizona; one step-sister, Rolla Wagner of, Grove, Oklahoma; one step-brother, Rex Blood of Wichita, Kansas; one uncle, Frank McBride of, Salina, Kansas; her dear friends, Kathy Sorrells and her husband, Jim, of Nipomo, California, Barbara Naughton and her husband, B. T., and their daughter, Lauren, all of Omaha, Nebraska, and her loving family at White Bluff United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
