Sandra Kantsiper Goodman

Sandra K Goodman passed away on April 22, one month short of her 80 th birthday. She was born in Savannah on May 30, 1945, to Claudia and Ben Kantsiper. She was a 1963 graduate of Savannah High School and attended the University of Georgia. She was married to Dr. Lloyd (Skippy) Goodman. Mrs. Goodman was very involved in the Savannah Jewish community through her many volunteer endeavors. She had a genuine love for the B’nai Brith Jacob Synagogue as well as the Jewish Educational Alliance, where she was recognized with a board service award. Also, she was a lifetime member of Hadassah and was on the board of The Savannah Jewish Federation. She loved to read, play Mah jong, and bake. Most of all she loved being Bubbie to her four grandchildren and being with her husband, family and friends. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and sister. 

Surviving are her children, Marc (Karen) Goodman of New York City, Jill (Ken) Goldstein of Atlanta, grandchildren, the late Ashley Hope Goodman, Parker Goodman of New York City, Ben and Carly Goldstein of Atlanta, her sister Sherry (Edward) Gold of Savannah, brother Alan (Ferne) Kantsiper of Columbia, MD. Special thanks to Drs. Lusky, Cornell, Hasselle, King, and McClune and Alfreda Myers for taking care of her. 

Graveside services will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in Bonaventure Cemetery with Rabbi Avigdor Slatus officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Goodman Jewish Educational Alliance Fund of Savannah and B’nai Brith Jacob Synagogue.
